How we can help‎ > ‎Classes‎ > ‎

Resident teacher Dr. Dennis W. Zerull, DSC (Met.), D MIN, graduated from the ULC Seminary in 2010 and holds a Dr. of Metaphysical Sciences and Dr. of Ministry degrees. He is a practicing Buddhist who makes annual retreats to southwest Colorado. He has completed a pilgrimage to Katmandu, Nepal where he practiced at  Kopan Monastery, and at Swayambhunath and Pashupatinath Temples. While in Nepal, he also practiced at holy sites in Lukla.

Dr. Zerull considers His Holliness the 14th Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Thich Nhat Hahn, Jack Kornfield and Ekhart Tolle among his teachers.

He believes that many of today's problems are created by ourselves based on divisions due to ideology, race, religion, resources, economic status, addictions and so forth.

"We must think on a deeper human level and respect our sameness as human beings. We can't find peace within our world with greed, jealousy, anger or hatred. So we need to develop our good human qualities. We truly are the masters of our own destiny and we each carry the potential and seed of enlightenment".

"Good physical health is also dependent upon a good mental disposition. The gateway is through meditation. By eliminating mental obstacles we can live a fuller life filled with joy, happiness and freedom from suffering."
